An available 1.3-liter ECOTEC turbo engine achieves the same highway mileage while creating 155 horsepower. Front-wheel drive models are equipped with a CVT, while all-wheel drive models have a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The 5-passenger cabin is kept quiet with Buick’s QuietTuning technology, which blocks and absorbs unwanted noise, while an air filter keeps the cabin air clean. In the Preferred trim, seats are trimmed with cloth and leatherette, while the Sport Touring gets full leatherette and the Avenir’s seats are trimmed with leather. Behind the rear seats, there’s 23.5 cu. ft. of cargo space, and the rear seats fold along a 40/60 split to reveal up to 50.2 cu. ft. of space.

Each of the Encore GX’s 3 trims has unique styling features, like the Avenir’s 19-inch Pearl Nickel aluminum wheels and Black Ice grille. The Avenir also has exciting premium features, including memory settings that quickly restore your favorite driving position with the press of a button. With this model, you can even carry extra-large items inside the cabin, thanks to its fold-flat front passenger seat.

Additional standard driver assistance features include Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which is helpful when your line of sight is limited while you’re backing out of a parking space. This feature uses sensors in the rear bumper to detect vehicles approaching from the sides behind you, then warns you so you can apply the brakes and prevent a collision.

The Encore GX makes tasks of all types easier and more convenient with tech like OnStar Basics, which is included for 8 years.
